Vic: 14-y-o boy threatens police with machete in car theft case
A 14-year-old boy allegedly threatened a police officer with a machete during an investigation
into the theft of a car in Melbourne.
A police spokesman says the teenager was subdued with capsicum spray .. when police
approached the vehicle in Rosalie Street in Springvale around 9.30 (AEDT) last night.
The spokesman says officers investigating a report of a dumped stolen car approached
the vehicle .. alleging the boy threatened an officer with a machete as they tried to
arrest him.
The teenager will face the Children's Court charged with theft of a motor vehicle ..
going equipped to steal .. and weapons offences.
Another boy aged 14 .. and a 15-year-old girl .. were arrested and will be cautioned.
